V1 sent his son, N1, an odd text message late last night (6/24) to come over in the morning. Upon N1's arrival, V1 was found deceased on the rear patio.

The inside of the residence had a strong odor of exhaust which likely came from a generator in the garage. Two suicide notes were also located inside the residence.

CID, Crime Scene and the ME were notified and responded. Case turned over to CID.

V1 and D1 were engaged in a verbal altercation which turned physical. Video evidence supported V1’s claims and D1 was arrested for Simple Battery DV.

On 06/22/2024, at approximately 2230 hours, an anonymous caller reported hearing several gunshots near W. Beresford Ave., Deland.

Multiple units arrived on scene and discovered several shell casings and blood in a driveway on W. Beresford Ave.

V-1 and V-2 were later found to have been transported to Halifax Hospital in Deltona for non-life-threatening injuries. Both V-1 and V-2 were uncooperative. VSO District 2 deputies assisted by canvassing the area. The Watch Commander was notified of the incident.

D1 and D2 are mother and daughter and reside together as a family unit. D1 and D2 both initiated an argument with each other over broken glass within the house.

Both subjects advised the other person started a physical altercation with them and fought back. D1 and D2 both sustained injuries from the fight and the injuries were consistent with both of their statements.

W1 heard tussling at which point she exited her bedroom and observed D1 and D2 fighting each other on the ground. After numerous repeated interviews, a primary aggressor was unable to be established and both D1 and D2 were placed under arrest for Simple Battery (DV).
