MIDDLETOWN, NJ — During the period of of January 1, 2023 through January 31, 2023, the Middletown Twp. Police Department responded to 4,223 calls for service, including 394 EMS calls, 172 burglar alarms, 10 fire calls and 117 motor vehicle crashes.

Police officers arrested 35 individuals, including 2 for outstanding bench warrants and 8 for domestic violence. Arrests are as follows:

Chris Suleiman, age 37, from Manalapan, was arrested by Officer Elzbieta Banel for driving under the influence. Suleiman was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Melissa Mershmann, age 60, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Shane Hosler for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and driving under the influence. Mershmann was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Tabitha Close, age 25, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer John Foy for theft and conspiracy. Close was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Robert Ellis, Jr., age 33, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Dana McQuade for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ellis was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Miguel Angeles, age 42, from Perth Amboy, was arrested by Detective Keith Hirschbein for robbery. Angeles was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Sharon Kranzke, age 36, from South Amboy, was arrested by Officer Anthony Bartolone for a contempt of court warrant. Kranzke was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Dawid Dudzik, age 38, from Garfield, was arrested by Officer Paul Hadinger for a contempt of court warrant. Dudzik was processed and released on his own recognizance.

Matthew Vitiello, age 32, from Jersey City, was arrested by Officer Joshua Chambers for cyber harassment. Vitiello was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Ashley Raffa, age 31, from South Amboy, was arrested by Officer Ryan Pigott for driving under the influence. Raffa was processed and released on a summons complaint.

John Curreri, age 33, from Middletown, was arrested by Office Robert Headden for a contempt of court warrant. Curreri was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Patricia Devaney-Westerlind, age 49, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Tony Perito for a contempt of court warrant. Devaney-Westerlind was processed and released after posting bail.

Robert Lueders, age 53, from Colonia, was arrested by Officer Joseph Pesany for driving under the influence. Lueders was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Marcel Irizarry, age 40, from Belford, was arrested by Officer Michael Masiello for terroristic threats, criminal mischief, burglary, and unlawful possession of weapons. Irizarry was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Santo Cavallo, age 49, from Red Bank, was arrested by Officer Ryan Maguire for driving under the influence. Cavallo was processed and released on his own recognizance.

Shauna Ehlers, age 42, from Highlands, was arrested by Officer Edward Jennings for driving under the influence. Ehlers was processed and released.

Stephen Stanzione, age 60, from Eatontown, was arrested by Officer Joshua Chambers for shoplifting. Stanzione was processed and released on his own recognizance.

Joseph Schaub, age 37, from Keansburg, was arrested by Officer Shane Hosler for shoplifting. Schaub was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Antonio Castillo, age 23, from Toms River, was arrested by Officer Omar Akel for driving under the influence. Castillo was processed and released on his own recognizance.

Ryan Clark, age 29, from Atlantic Highlands, was arrested by Officer Dana McQuade for a contempt of court warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia. Clark was processed and released after posting bail.

Mikala Minix, age 28, from Belmar, was arrested by Officer Edward Jennings for driving under the influence. Minix was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Patrick Pierre, age 32, from North Caldwell, was arrested by Officer Dana McQuade for a contempt of court warrant. Pierre was processed and released on his own recognizance.

Ashley Manges, age 34, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Anthony Bartolone for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. Manges was processed and released.

Danielle Powell, age 27, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Joshua Chambers for criminal trespass and resisting arrest. Powell was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Christie Johnson, age 39, from Hazlet, was arrested by Officer Eric Van Schaack for contempt of court warrants. Johnson was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Alrick McCormack, age 60, from Aberdeen, was arrested by Officer Eric Van Schaack for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. McCormack was processed and released on a summons complaint.
